TEAM-1 group of companies, is a privately and locally owned company that provides environmental services to Police, Fire and Industry.  Often considered the "Navy Seals" of HazMat, we strive to ensure that each incident we respond to has a positve outcome.  Although Emergency Response is our main fortay, we also are well known for our Training Courses and other Specialized Services.  TEAM-1 is fully licensed and permitted by the Ministry of Environment, Technical Standards Safety Association, and Minsitry of Labour. TEAM-1 is certified as an Educational Institution by Human Resources Canada  and is approved by OETC for Continuing Education (CE) credits.

Emergency Response

In the event of a low hazard, low volume or high hazard, high volume occurrence, TEAM-1 has the ability to deploy a highly trained team with state of the art equipment to rectify any situation on a 24 hour basis North America-Wide.

As simple as a fuel release from a transport truck or a major release involving toxic exposures, TEAM-1 can respond and mitigate vitrually any situation. TEAM-1 is fully licenced by the Ministry of the Environment as a Carrier and Receiver of Regulated Waste.  TEAM-1 is licensed for exotic wastes such as Pathological, PCB's and Compressed Gases.  We also operate a fully licesned Waste Disposal site in accordance with the Ontario MOE.

CBRNE RESPONSE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive)

TEAM-1 has recently designed and built a state of the art CBRNE Response unit that is contracted to Police Services throughout Ontario.  This unit costs in excess of a half million dollars and has an extensive array of up to the minute equipment available to any agency in the world.
 

Mobile Decontamination

Well known for our response to major Hazardous Materials releases, we have developed and operated a mobile unit for some time.  This unit has been utilized for some of the most major events in Ontario.  See our attached section on this unit.

At TEAM-1 we recognize that it is impossible to be an expert in all areas. We have a TEAM of professionals with different disciplines to assist you on any Health and Safety, Environmental, TDG and Fire Code Legislation Requirements.  The magnitude of our projects range from report preparation to implementing a full Health and Safety program for your workplace.
Our Compliance Service professionals have many years experience in these areas and will work with you to get you into compliance.  Many of North America's largest companies have benefited from our Compliance Services. 

Product Sales

After responding to thousands of chemical incidents, it's safe to say that we know our spill supplies. This experience allows us to offer the best of them to you. Whether it is sorbents, spill kits, gas detectors or personal protective equipment, we can recommend the latest in safe and effective tools to get the job done right the first time.

Our training will provide you with techniques to confidently handle emergency situations whether Road, Rail, Marine or onsite.  Training includes containment, personal protective clothing, air monitoring, selection of PPE and other related areas to ensure your health protection during an incident.  Legislative and local regulations are also reviewed.

TEAM-1 (a leader in HazMat Spill Response) has expanded it's educational facility to provide hands-on fire training in addition to the already industry-leading HazMat and Confined Space Entry/Rescue training.  Located within minutes of two international airports, two Great Lakes and Canada's busiest seaport, you will experience the industrial heart of Ontario. Courses can also be site specific and conducted at your facility.

Open registration for groups and or individuals are conducted on a regular basis.  Contact our Sales Manager for dates of varied courses.

Our courses meet and exceed fire service standards including NFPA 1006, 1670, 471, 472, 473, Ontario Firefighter Standards and Ministry of Labour UHSA Regulations. Along with being accredited by the Province.
