Alberta transfers ambulance responsibility
May 30, 2008, Edmonton - In a move designed to improve patient care, accountability, and efficiency, government will transfer responsibility for ground ambulance services from municipalities to the new provincial health authority. The transition will take full effect April 1, 2009.
