ORNGE spends $600,000 on degrees for executives

Unexpected blast kills volunteer firefighter
Jan. 2, 2011, Enderby, B.C. – As firefighters mopped up an early-morning blaze at a log-home construction business in Enderby on Thursday, volunteer firefighter Daniel Botkin was about to roll up the hose lines. It was about 5 a.m. and still dark when the sky was lit up by a sudden explosion that killed Botkin and injured another firefighter nearby. The Vancouver Sun reports.
