ESS goggles now NFPA-compliant
Written by Olivia D'Orazio
fireprogogglesJuly 13, 2012 – Eye Safety Systems has announced that two of its FirePro safety goggles have achieved compliant to the NFPA 1977 standard on protective clothing and equipment for wildland fire fighting.

The FirePro-FSTM goggles, which offer a full strap, and the FirePro-EXTM goggles, which have snap-on/snap-off capabilities, are light weight and low profile. The goggles also provide a full-perimeter ventilation/filtration system and total helmet compatibility.

"Through obtaining the NFPA 1977 certificate of compliance from UL Lab, we are reinforcing the ESS promise of eye safety, quality, and improved utility," said Eric Dobbie, ESS commercial program manager.

"Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, we are providing a means for government agencies or other organizations to easily acquire the compliant products end users want most."
