Trucker faces charges after transport slams into fire truck
Written by The Canadian Press
July 24, 2012, Cobourg, Ont. – A Calgary trucker faces a number of charges, including impaired driving, after a transport rear-ended a parked fire truck on Highway 401 in eastern Ontario.

Provincial police say it happened early today while emergency crews were dealing with a collision.

Other emergency vehicles were on the scene with their lights activated and the right lane of the eastbound 401 was closed at the time.

Police say two firefighters were treated at hospital for minor injuries.

Jetandar Dhillon, 31, also faces charges of driving while over the legal blood-alcohol limit, dangerous driving and possession of cocaine.

He has a court appearance schedule for later today.
