Fire marshal replies to sprinkler story
Written by Laura King
Jan. 24, 2008
The sprinkler debate keeps on chugging, with Ontario Fire Marshal Pat Burke weighing in via a letter to the editor in today’s Toronto Star.

The letter is in response to a Jan. 19 Star story by Michael Moldenhauer, president of the Building Industry and Land Development Association.

Mr. Moldenhauer says that putting sprinklers in new homes “
that are already hard-wired for safety is redundant, expensive and misdirected.”

Needless to say, Pat Burke takes exception to this.
