COVER CONTEST
You be the judge! Our January cover story is about a major disaster-management training exercise in Toronto in November. Photographer John Hanley’s brilliant images illustrate the challenges of the three-day exercise for the more than 900 personnel on scene. Let us know which image you like best and we’ll use it on our cover.

Cover No. 1 features Stu Carruthers of the Manitoba urban search and rescue team (CAN-TF4) getting ready for a shift in the rubble in the aftermath of a staged terrorist bombing.

Cover No. 2 features Neil Wootton, a member of Toronto’s heavy urban search and rescue team (CAN-TF3), communicating with incident management during the exercise.

Cover No. 3
features a
Steve Koch of the Halifax urban search and rescue team (CAN-TF5) looking for survivors.
