Cape Breton, firefighters headed to arbitration

May 27, 2015, Sydney, N.S. - By the time Cape Breton Regional Municipality’s unionized firefighters get a contract, they will have been without one for at least four years. The career fire service members have been working without a new collective agreement since November 2011. An arbitration hearing into a new contract is set for the end of October.
