Body found after house fire in Collingwood area

Dec. 19, 2014, Collingwood, Ont. - Provincial police say they are investigating after a body was found inside the burned remains of a house fire in the Collingwood area of central Ontario.

The fire happened Wednesday in The Blue Mountains.

Police say investigators with the Ontario Fire Marshal's office discovered a body in the house after the fire was put out.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Identification of the victim has yet to be completed and police say more information will be released when it becomes available.

OPP and the fire marshal's office are continuing to investigate.
