Union requests meeting with city council

Oct. 14, 2016, London, Ont. - Burned by years of contract negotiations with no end in sight, London’s firefighters’ union wants to sidestep city hall bureaucrats and talk directly to the ultimate decision-makers: city council. In a letter, the head of the London Professional Fire Fighters Association is asking city politicians for a public meeting during which he would detail the viewpoint of the union, now six years without a labour deal.
