Korean firefighters in B.C. for training
Sept. 9, 2015, Merritt, B.C. - Crews from the Korean Forest Service are in Merritt, B.C., to learn about fighting wildfires.
Fourteen Korean fire personnel are learning investigation techniques through classroom and field training.
Small fires will be purposely ignited and extinguished near Merritt today, and the visiting crews will work to figure out where and how the blazes began.
This is the sixth year members of the Korean Forest Service have received training from their B.C. counterparts.
