Aug. 29, 2012, Fortune, Nfld. – Search crews have found a 63-year-old berry picker who was reported missing Tuesday in eastern Newfoundland.

RCMP say the man from Fortune went berry picking early Tuesday on the Burin Peninsula, but failed to return home that afternoon.

He was reported missing at 4:27 p.m.

The Burin Peninsula Search and Rescue team was joined by an RCMP tracking dog and members of the Grand Bank and Fortune volunteer fire departments.

At first light, searchers called for a helicopter, but man was found in good health before the aircraft could be dispatched.
