Aug. 28, 2014, Ocala, Fla. – Fire-truck maker E-One has become the exclusive Canadian distributor for the Bronto Skylift rescue ladder platform (RPL).

Ocala, Fla.-based E-One announced a deal Aug. 21 with Finland’s Bronto Skylift to exclusively sell its RPLs in Canada and the United States.

The deal also means Bronto parts and service will be available in North America only through E-One’s independent dealer network. In Canada, E-One apparatuses are distributed and serviced at Carrier Centres in Ontario, Keewawtin Truck Service in Manitoba, and Techno Feu Inc. in Quebec.

Jay Johnson, vice president of sales and product management for E-One, said in a press release announcing the agreement that the company is excited to renew its relationship with Bronto.

“Having sold more than 100 Bronto devices in North America since 2000, E-ONE understands the unique opportunities this world-renowned articulating aerial platform affords departments,” he said.

“North American customers are familiar with both E-One and Bronto and of their strong commitments to quality,” Esa Peltola, Bronto’s managing director, added in the release.  “We are looking forward to adding to that reputation with our range of joint products.”

Joint products will include the Bronto’s RLP 100, 114, 134, F118 HDT-ER, and the new F116 RLP+ articulating aerial platforms, all of which will be available on E-One’s Cyclone II and Quest chassis, with several body options.
