Training officer’s trial hears of challenging conditions
The deputy fire chief in Point Edward, Ont., exhausted himself battling the same St. Clair River that claimed the life of a fellow firefighter during a training exercise in 2010. Richard MacGregor testified Monday on the first day of a trial for training contractor Terry Harrison, who is charged under the Occupational Health and Safety Act with failing to take reasonable precautions to protect a worker.
