295 calls, 38 fires, $450,000 in damage recorded on Halloween night, Vancouver firefighters say

Nov. 2, 2020, Vancouver – Legal fireworks went out with a bang in Vancouver Saturday night, according to Vancouver Fire Rescue Service. Assistant Chief Kenny Gemmill told CTV News Vancouver fire crews responded to 295 calls in a 24-hour window that included Halloween night.
