Fire Fighting in Canada

Headlines News

Firefighters from St. Clements, Wellesley, Baden, New Dundee, Linwood and New Hamburg, Ont., responded to a barn fire Monday, March 1 at about 2:25 p.m. Wellesley arrived on scene first and pulled a four-inch line from the road approximately 700 feet up the lane. Crews pulled numerous lines including a portable hydrant around the barn to cool the silos and to work on saving the attached milking barn. Water was shuttled by four tankers and New Dundee pumper from a hydrant in Wellesley and a river south of the incident. Crews were on scene all night. A backhoe was called in to pull apart the remaining hay and wood that was on fire. Photo by Theresa Brown. To see more photos click here
