Dec. 29, 2010, South Indian Lake, Man. – A fire that destroyed a home in a
remote northern Manitoba community has killed two people.

The blaze broke out early Tuesday morning in South Indian Lake,
about 700 kilometres north of Winnipeg.

RCMP say a 53-year-old man from the community was one of the
victims, but his name has not been released.

They say the second person may not be identified until an autopsy
is done in Winnipeg later this week.

There were only two people in the home at the time of the fire
and no one else was injured.

Investigators have determined that the blaze started as a result
of an accident.
