Alberta volunteer department suspends service

June 4, 2010, Wandering River, Alta. - The Wandering River Volunteer Fire Department suspended it's service on Thursday, saying it was no longer safe for the seven member department to operate in the hamlet and respond to accidents on the nearby 128-kilometre stretch of Highway 63. The Edmonton Journal reports.
