Arson investigators probing fire at home near Calgary

Feb. 13, 2012, Calgary – Fire has destroyed a two-storey home near Calgary.

The house on the city's southeastern edge which went up in flames Sunday evening.

No one was hurt.

Bob Akins, acting fire battalion chief, says the intense blaze weakened the floor and forced firefighters to pull out of the building.

Crews were left to concentrate on preventing the flames from spreading.

Calgary police say they are waiting for arson investigators to determine the cause of the fire.
