Fire crews were called to TDS Automotive around 12:30 a.m. Saturday to find a large number of wooden pallets had been set ablaze.
While the fire caused just $10,000 in damages, investigators say it could have been worse, threatening a nearby plant and several transport trailers.
Another suspicious blaze at the same plant two days earlier caused an estimated $50,000.
Having failed to renew its contract with General Motors, TDS Automotive is slated to close in mid 2008.
The plant's closure will leave 233 unionized workers and 56 salaried employees without jobs.
