Dec. 27, 2010, Toronto – Arson is suspected in a five-alarm blaze at a Toronto home that had previously been a target of gunfire and Molotov cocktails.

The fire started Sunday night and dozens of firefighters and 20 fire trucks were called to the scene before the flames were extinguished early Monday.

The home was gutted and two neighbouring homes were damaged.

Two people were in the home at the time but no one was injured.

Earlier this month, shots were fired at the home from a passing vehicle and a few days later it was the target of Molotov cocktails.

Toronto Fire Chief Hugh Ross says the only information they have about the most recent fire is that "it's suspected arson."
