Sept. 17, 2012, Milton, Ont. – Investigators looking into a barn fire in Milton found two illegal grow ops on the property – along with two large pythons.

But several other reptiles, including an alligator, are believed to have died in the fire.

Police say firefighters who responded to the blaze Saturday found an illegal marijuana growing operation in a house on the property.

The barn was later found to contain another grow op, with about 200 marijuana plants, while about 66 plants and two pythons were found in the house. Animal control officers were called in to help
remove the snakes.
