The fire broke out Saturday afternoon and a stiff wind help spread the flames throughout the building in a matter of minutes.

There were no injuries in the fire as the building was not occupied.

Although the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, witnesses are suspicious that it may have been deliberately set.

A string of suspicious fires have been reported in major structures in the Saskatoon area in recent months.

Lloyd Hedemann has owned the ski resort for two decades and says he's very disappointed to learn that his building may have been torched by an arsonist.

Hedemann estimates the total damage at $200,000 and says it may be the final nail in the coffin for the ski resort which has not been in operation for the last three years.
