Blaze leads to smoke detector awareness campaign

Aug. 18, 2011, Montreal - Montreal firefighters spent the day going from door to door in suburban Verdun Wednesday, installing smoke detectors and promoting awareness about regular inspections after a 31-year-old man and his three-year-old son died in a fire early Wednesday morning. The Montreal Gazette reports.
