August 31, 2010 – The theme for this year’s fire prevention week, Oct. 3-9, is Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With! The 2010 campaign is designed to educate people about the importance of smoke alarms and encourages everyone to take the steps necessary to update and maintain their home smoke alarm protection.
The NFPA has made a number of products available including; t-shirts, brochures, banners, newsletters, colouring books, stuffed toys and plastic firefighting helmets for the kids.
