ceremony on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on Sunday afternoon. Firefighters
from across Canada attended the annual ceremony to commemorate
firefighters who have died in the line of duty in the last year, or have
died due to work related illnesses. The CFFF acknowledged 14 deaths and
presented families with ceremonial helmets and medals. The foundation
also added 61 names from seven provinces of those who have been
recognized as having died in the line of duty due to work-related
illnesses. Photo by John Riddell.
