Dec. 9, 2009 - The CFB Esquimalt Fleet Dive Unit Pacific EOD Team in B.C. under the command of Michael Hales took delivery in April of a Fort Garry Fire Trucks-built EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) truck. Built on a Sterling Acterra 4x4 chassis and powered by an Allison 3000 EVS transmission and a Cummins ISC 330-hp engine, the truck is equipped with an 800 IG poly water tank, a fold-down ramp/door for EOD robots, a 10-meter camera mast system with I/R capabilities, two ordinance magazines, a gun safe, a 3,000-watt command light, 10-kw MCR Harrison generator, a Setcom intercom system, side and back-up camera system, I/R camera., NFPA LED light package, locking compartment doors and a Protexplode alarm system.
