Child rushed to hospital with burns

Toronto - Emergency officials say a young child has been rushed to hospital after suffering serious burns in a fire in Toronto's west end.

Two other children are also being treated for minor smoke inhalation, along with four adults.

The ages of the children could not be immediately confirmed but medical officials say they are all under 16 years old.

Emergency crews were called to the apartment at about 10 a.m.

The fire was reported to be under control as of 11 a.m., but firefighters are still on scene.
