City ratifies new collective agreement with Medicine Hat Fire Fighters Association

Aug. 9, 2022, Medicine Hat, Alta. — The City of Medicine Hat has ratified a mediator’s recommendation resulting in the renewal of the collective agreement with the Medicine Hat Fire Fighters Association.
The previous agreement expired on Dec. 31, 2018. The new agreement is for a four-year term from Jan. 1, 2019 until December 31, 2022.
The mediator’s recommendation includes general wage adjustments in each year of the agreement, with increases of 1.5 per cent effective Jan. 1, 2019; 1.5 per cent effective Jan. 1, 2020; 2.5 per cent effective Jan. 1, 2021; and 2.5 per cent effective Jan. 1, 2022.
