Company fined $55,000 in propane fire incident

April 1, 2014, Smithville, Ont. - A Smithville company has been fined following a propane fire in 2010. Vomar Industries Inc. of LaSalle, Man. — operating as Tank Traders — pleaded guilty and fined $55,000 for failing to protect workers at a workplace in Ontario and improperly handling propane. The St. Catharines Standard reports.
