Corner Brook needs proactive planning: union

June 26, 2015, Corner Brook, N.L. - The acting president of the Corner Brook firefighters union says being unable to keep providing backup services to outlying towns is the result of poor planning by the city. Peter Daniels of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1222 was responding to Wednesday’s announcement that its aging backup pumper has been taken out of service because of deficiencies and related costs and complications.
