Courtenay Fire Department

Courtenay Fire Department in British Columbia, under Fire Chief Don Bardonnex, took delivery in August of a Fort Garry Fire Trucks-built pumper. This unit is built on a Spartan Gladiator chassis and powered by a 450-hp Cummins ISL engine and an Allison EVS transmission. It features a 2,250-lpm Hale QMAX pump, a 1,000-gallon poly water tank and 36-gallon class A/B poly foam tank, a Foam Pro 3012 system, Amdor roll-up doors, FRC Ultimate flow and pressure monitor, Akron Deck Master monitor, Hannay 200-foot speed hose reel, FRC IC 400 governor, Slide Master tray, O/H ladder rack, Whelen Emergency light package, Harrison 8-kw hydraulic generator, Command light tower, Hannay cord rell, D&R LED Ceveron Arrow board, and Sigtronics six-position intercom system.
