Crews battle landfill blaze

Feb. 10, 2012, Tsuu T'ina Nation, Alta. – Firefighters from Tsuu T'ina Nation, Redwood Meadows and Priddis, Alta., worked at a landfill fire on the Tsuu T'ina Nation (just west of Calgary) for more than two days. The landfill, used for construction debris, caught fire on Tuesday, Feb. 7, and burned for days. Heavy equipment was used to turn over materials so firefighters could access the blaze.
