May 17, 2024, Louisville, KY – Denios U.S. introduced fire fighting blankets specifically designed for the high temperatures generated from lithium-ion battery fires.

Manufactured from high temperature fabric with a mineral coating on both sides, the double seam overlap with steel thread processing allows these blankets to withstand temperatures just under 2,400 F, stated the company press release.

The open-pored fabric is designed to allow the use of fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems to create a cooling effect, while limited gas permeability prevents the cover from ballooning.

Reusable fire blankets are available in three sizes, suitable for small cars to commercial vehicles, each with their own storage container.

All blankets are compliant with EC safety data sheet 91/115/EEC, DIN EN 13501-1, class A1, non-combustible, and electrostatic certificate according to DIN 54345-1, non-conductive, the company stated in the press release.
