July 2006 – BRAMPTON – Brampton firefighters performed on stage in March at Blue Mountain, raising $4,600 for charities including the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children and a Collingwood shelter for abused women.
“Thanks to everyone, including the firefighters and people who attended the stage show, who made this event a
success,” said Paul Smith, a firefighter with Brampton Fire and Emergency Services.
Trips to Collingwood have become a tradition for Brampton firefighters, who last year raised more than $5,000 for family and children’s charities. This year, Brampton firefighters will donate $2,900 to My Friend’s House women’s shelter in Collingwood and $700 to Sick Kids’ hospital.
