F.I.E.R.O. seeking respondents for a fire service gear cleaning validation survey

Jan. 9, 2020 — F.I.E.R.O., a non-profit organization dedicated to improving firefighter health and safety, is seeking participants for a study that is collecting information on gear cleaning practices within fire departments, including PPE and related accessories.

The “Fire Service Gear Cleaning Validation Survey” is open to volunteer or career firefighters, male or female. The results of the survey are a critical part of the Fire Service Gear Cleaning Validation Project, which is an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) funded project.

This survey is voluntary, anonymous and all information collected is considered strictly confidential. Respondents may skip questions if preferred and F.I.E.R.O. is encouraging participants to share the link with their colleagues. Questions about the survey can be directed to PPECleaning@nfpa.org.
