Female firefighter makes history

April 6, 2011, Calgary - Eighteen years after joining up with Calgary’s blaze battlers, Mona Kronberg’s breaking its glass ceiling with a fire axe. This week, Kronberg will become the first woman field officer with the Calgary Fire Department when she’s officially promoted to lieutenant. The Calgary Sun reports.
