Fifty-car pileup closes highway near Trenton

March 18, 2015, Trenton, Ont. - An overnight collision involving 50 vehicles, including several tractor-trailers, has shut down a stretch of southern Ontario's Highway 401 near Trenton. The Ontario Provincial Police blamed the crash on poor weather and said it happened in the eastbound lanes of the highway. One tanker truck spilled 40,000 litres of oil amid the collision.
