Fire chief killed in pedestrian motor vehicle accident
May 7, 2018, Schreiber, Ont. — Fire Chief Pat Bourguignon was struck and killed in a pedestrian motor vehicle accident that happened around midnight Friday.

Bourguignon served as fire chief for the small northern Ontario town of Schreiber since 2009 and as a volunteer firefighter for 34 years, shared the town’s mayor Mark Figliomeni in a statement.
He is survived by his wife, two children and three grandchildren.
The accident occurred in Etobicoke, Ont., where he was attending OAFC 2018. Investigation details into the cause of the accident have not yet been released.
