Firefighter injured battling Ottawa blaze

Emergency crews were called Sunday morning to a burning home in the Orleans area and found a woman had been stabbed.

Police say firefighters helped her out of the home and sent her to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

They say a man was found unconscious and is being treated for serious smoke inhalation in a Toronto-area hospital.

Police say a firefighter was also hurt while trying to get the fire under control.

The investigation continues.
