Firefighter treated, two families displaced following blaze in Ottawa

Oct. 15, 2020, Ottawa – One firefighter was treated on the scene of a blaze that happened in the city’s west end Wednesday. Ottawa Fire Services said they received a 911 call reporting smoke and flames coming from a basement apartment at 935 Blythdale Rd. at the corner of Strathmore Boulevard in Glabar Park at about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
