Redwood Meadows firefighters assisted EMS with patient care and a landing zone for STARS air ambulance after being dispatched to a call for an 18-year-old male who was possibly suffering a stroke. The helicopter was called due to what would be an extended ground transport time of close to 45 minutes. The patient was in critical, life-threatening condition when he left the scene west of Calgary. Photo by Rob Evans.
