Firefighters rescue cyclist from escarpment
Sept. 18, 2013, Hamilton, Ont. - Emergency crews have rescued a cyclist who plunged almost 20 metres from the Niagara escarpment near in Ancaster Wednesday afternoon. Hamilton Emergency Services said an ORNGE air ambulance was looking for a landing site to take the 20-year-old woman to hospital. Dozens of firefighters performed a high-angle rope rescue shortly after noon to reach the woman. TheSpec.com reports.
