June 10, 2013, Kapuskasing, Ont. – Funeral services will be held this afternoon in Kapuskasing, Ont., for an Ornge paramedic who died a week ago in an air ambulance crash.
The funeral for Dustin Dagenais will be held in the Regional Conference Complex.
Dagenais, another paramedic and two pilots died on May 31 when their air ambulance crashed shortly after taking off from Moosonee in northern Ontario.
The other paramedic, Chris Snowball, was remembered at funeral services in Burlington.
Investigators recovered the cockpit voice recorder of the Ornge helicopter last weekend and have sent it to the Transportation Safety Board's Ottawa lab for analysis.
Investigators at the crash scene have determined the chopper had a "high energy impact" crash and have interviewed potential witnesses and air ambulance officials.
