Funeral set for Mississauga chief

Oct 24, 2008, Mississauga - The community is invited to attend a funeral mass for Garry Morden, fire chief for the City of Mississauga, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 4260 Cawthra Road, Mississauga at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27. Chief Morden died yesterday following a lengthy illness.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early and be seated by 9:30 a.m.

Friends and family may call and pay their respects at Turner and Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, north of Highway QEW
and south of the Queensway www.turnerporter.ca.

Visitation:

Saturday, Oct. 25, 5-9 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 26, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

The funeral proceedings will include formal fire service honours. A public
reception will follow immediately after the funeral mass in the John Paul II
Polish Cultural Centre, 4300 Cawthra Road, www.polishculturalcentre.ca, adjacent to St. Maximilian Kolbe
Parish.

The flags at the Civic Centre and all city facilities have been lowered and
will remain at half-staff until Tuesday, Oct. 28th following the funeral.  An
