RCMP say smoke from the fire on Tuesday reduced visibility and resulted in a semi trailer hitting the fire truck, then it veered across Highway 15, striking a car head-on.

Police said the two vehicles were going at a reduced speed and no one was seriously injured.

High winds pushed the fire across the highway, coming close to a couple of farmyards.

No serious damage has been reported.
