Remains found after explosion
March 31, 2008, Shawinigan, Que. - Firefighters in Shawinigan, Que., say they've found the remains of man killed when a home apparently exploded.

A neighbour reported hearing a blast around eight o'clock Sunday morning. Police say firefighters arrived quickly but the fire spread rapidly.
The ensuing fire levelled the home.
Quebec provincial police believe the body is the 34-year-old owner of the home, but say an autopsy will be performed to confirm the victim's identity. (9)
Firefighters discovered the remains while combing through the ruins of the home, about 170 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
Police say a car was found parked outside the home, prompting a search of the rubble.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
