Residential fire in Barrie claims life

BARRIE, Ont. – An elderly woman is dead after a house fire in north end Barrie.
Emergency crews were called to the home (on Redwood Court) at about 8 p.m. Monday and found the woman in the home.
She was rushed to Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie but never regained consciousness and later died of her injuries.
The woman's name has not yet been released.
