House fire leaves family of four homeless

Oct. 22, 2010, Telford, N.S. - A family of four is homeless after a house fire in Telford in northern Nova Scotia.

The Red Cross says one adult who was home at the time of the blaze Thursday morning escaped unharmed with a pet dog.

The couple's two children were in school.

The Red Cross says volunteers provided blankets and personal-care items.

The house was destroyed.

Telford is about 20 kilometres east of New Glasgow.
