Now that the turkey and holiday treats are gone and we all begin the slow trudge through winter, I want to wish all of our readers Happy New Year with a sincere wish for health and happiness in the months ahead.

Particularly, I want to say thanks to the many people who have called or e-mailed with positive comments about our new site.
A lot of people behind the scenes played a role in making this work, especially our ever patient web guru Stacey Bradshaw.
We know we have a lot more work to do.
When taking possession of a new home, moving day is just the start. And so it will be for us as we tweak and fine tune the site to make it the top Canadian destination on the web for firefighting news.
Let us know how we’re doing. Send us your suggestions. Tell us your stories and we’ll get them on the site. Send us your photos to post.
